IFAD CAPEO

LandMetric is a tool developed by the CAPEO project (Capitalising on Earth Observation Data to support Project Design, Implementation and Evaluation) project, with the support International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The tool provides a web-based spatial analysis application designed to boost the effectiveness of rural investment projects by improving access and usability of existing and new global Earth Observation (EO) data and mapping products. It enables no-expert users to have access to over 50 curated, decision-ready spatial indicators for better project identification, management, monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment.

Built upon open-source geospatial softwares (GDAL, GeoServer, QGIS, STAC, etc.) and available under an MIT license (CodeBerg), the solution includes a robust front-end viewer, a flexible REST API, a SpatioTemporal Asset Catalog (STAC).
